Q. Broken by static electricity.
A. Make sure to ground the screw holes on the sensor side of the controller board. It is resistant to static electricity up until 27kV.
Please refer to notes for installation
A.
- Conduct calibration.*1 Drift may occur if the surrounding environment changed.
- Ground the metal materials in the structure.
- Adjust sensitivity of the sensor on the driver screen.
- The gap between the sensor and LCD may not be enough. Make the gap greater than 0.7mm.
- Make sure that the tail is fixed.
- Do not touch the touchscreen upon starting (until the LED on the controller board lights up twice) because the controller board is checking the surrounding environment.
- Make sure that there is no scratch on the surrounding patterning. Scratches on patterning may cause drift.
- Make sure that the tail is not coming off or damaged. Touchscreen will not work at all in those cases.
A.
- Is LED turned on at booting?
- -> No, LED is not turned on.
- Check if polarity of the power is correct. Check if voltage is impressed appropriately.
- -> Polarity of the power is correct. Voltage is impressed appropriately.
- Check if board number of short plug is correct.
- -> Board number of short plug is correct.
- The touchscreen and/or controller may be broken.
- -> Yes, LED is turned on.
- Check if board number of short plug is correct.
- -> Board number of short plug is correct.
- 1) Does the LED flicker upon touching the panel?
- a) No, the LED does not flicker.
- The touchscreen may not be installed properly, or may be broken.
- b) The LED is continuously on.
- The touchscreen may not be installed properly, or may be broken.
- c) the LED flickers.
- There must be communication problem.
- 2) Is the communication cable appropriate?
- 3) Is driver software installed properly?
- 4) Was it rebooted after installation of driver software?
- If the touchscreen comes with a back shield, check if the back shield is grounded or not.
- (Back shield*2 is supposed to be connected to the shield line of the controller board.)
Q. Smoke and/or strange smell issuing.
A.
- Check if polarity of the power is correct. Check if voltage is impressed appropriately.
- Check if somewhere on the controller board is shorting out (check the backside as well).
- Make sure that power is not doubly supplied to both USB terminal and supply terminal.
- Make sure that the unit is properly grounded. Make sure that it is not connected to another power supply.
*1 Calibration ... Task to correct the touch positions by driver software.
*2 Touchscreen with back shield ... Touchscreen with coating on the backside that will improve signal stability.
