Digital Matrix Resistive Touch Screen

  • Multi-touch
  • Glove OK
  • anti-noise
  • Stability

The Matrix touch screen technology uses transparent grids of fixed-size rows and columns. This technology allows keys to have more than one assigned function by depressing a combination of keys. Capabilities such as this make the matrix touch screens a good choice for industrial and medical applications.

Overview

When the touch screen is depressed, the conductive layer of the X-layer contacts the Y-layer. The voltage of the X-layer at the contact point is measured on the Y-resistive layer and by alternating the X-Y axis resolves the touch position.
