FAQs about the MTR Series

How does MTR touch screen differ from 4 wire and 5 wire resistive touch screens?
If 2 points are touched at a time, 4 wire and 5 wire resistive touch screens detect the middle point between the two points.
MTR touch screen can detect two points if two different cells are touched. If two points are touched within one cell, MTR touch screen detects the middle point between the two points.
What is the structure of the MTR touch screen?
Please refer to Structure and Detection Mechanism of MTR Series.
How many touched points can be detected at a time?
Up to 2 points can be detected at a time. If 3 or more points are touched, only the first 2 points will be detected, and the other points will be ignored.

There are other limitations of the multi-touch function as below.

Multi-touch within a cell is not supported. If multiple points are touched within one cell, the middle point will be detected.
